How it works
A wall of fraction strips and five empty rows. Tap a strip, tap a row, and a piece of that size drops in; every row shows what it adds up to as you go. Two halves fill a row, so do three thirds, and so — which is the thing that is hard to believe until it is seen — do a half, a quarter and a quarter. The chart can be one whole across or two, so a row can hold a mixed number, and a strip that will not fit is refused: you cannot have five quarters of one thing. Free play is a fraction wall to explore; the Challenge button sets a target — three quarters, five sixths, one and a half — and a row that adds up to it exactly scores. Each strip sounds its own note, bigger strips lower, so a row being filled is heard as a phrase.
