Trigonometric ratios become functions of any real number. This course works in radians and proves and applies the main trigonometric formulas.
The course follows the NCERT Class 11 Mathematics chapter Trigonometric Functions and has 3 lessons. Each lesson explains the ideas with worked examples and ends with practice questions and full answers. The numbers in every example and question are our own, so the lessons can be used alongside the textbook exercises.
- Radians and the Trigonometric Functions, Degree and radian measure, arc length, the six functions on the unit circle, their signs, ranges and periods.
- Compound, Multiple and Sum-to-Product Formulas, Sum and difference formulas, double, triple and half angles, and sum-to-product identities with worked proofs.
- Trigonometric Functions: Mixed Practice, Fourteen original questions on radians, values and identities, with answers.
By the end you will be able to:
- Convert between degrees and radians and use l = rθ.
- Find trigonometric values for any angle.
- Apply sum, difference, double and triple angle formulas.
- Prove identities with sum-to-product formulas.
