Probability becomes precise once every outcome is listed. This course defines events and the axioms and computes probabilities by counting.

The course follows the NCERT Class 11 Mathematics chapter Probability and has 2 lessons. Each lesson explains the ideas with worked examples and ends with practice questions and full answers. The numbers in every example and question are our own, so the lessons can be used alongside the textbook exercises.

  1. Sample Spaces, Events and the Axioms, Random experiments, sample spaces, the algebra of events, and the axioms of probability.
  2. Rules of Probability and Mixed Practice, The complement and addition rules, probability by counting, and a mixed practice set.

By the end you will be able to:

  • Write sample spaces and describe events.
  • Use the algebra of events.
  • Apply the axioms of probability.
  • Use the addition and complement rules with counting methods.
