Expressing a Number as Product of Powers of Prime Factors

A number can be written as a product of powers of prime factors.

Prime numbers are:

$2, 3, 5, 7, 11, \ldots$

Example: Express $432$ as a product of powers of prime factors.

$432 \div 2 = 216$

$216 \div 2 = 108$

$108 \div 2 = 54$

$54 \div 2 = 27$

$27 \div 3 = 9$

$9 \div 3 = 3$

$3 \div 3 = 1$

So,

$432 = 2 \times 2 \times 2 \times 2 \times 3 \times 3 \times 3$

Therefore,

$432 = 2^4 \times 3^3$
